Rope Access

Tree rope access is a course that provides participants with training in the use of specialized equipment and techniques used in establishing overhead tie-in locations and the hardware, knots and hitches used to access very tall or confined tree canopies such as fir, spruce or cedar. Focus is on using rope to access your work location, without spurs, while maintaining, and following safe work practices and legislation pertaining to fall protection. Educating participants in understanding the application of forces in various rope access systems such as; single rope technique (SRT) configurations and the definition of specific rope terms, knots, hitches and hardware completes this very informative course.

Eligibility Recommendations: Experienced climbers who are up to date and familiar with basic climbing techniques, knots, hitches, and equipment, legislation and safety requirements. It is recommended to take “Tree Climbing, Fall Protection and Work Positioning” prior to taking this course if you are unsure.
