Melissa LeVangie is the Owner of Trees New England LLC, a consulting arborist firm specializing in the safety, planning and management of trees. LeVangie is a Massachusetts Certified Arborist, a New Hampshire Certified Arborist, as well as an ISA Certified Arborist & Tree Climber Specialist. Melissa loves her job as a consulting arborist and takes great pleasure helping people understand the biology, safety, magic, and benefits of trees.

LeVangie’s education is from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Melissa is actively involved in the arboricultural industry. She is an ISA volunteer serving on the Arborist News Editorial Board. She serves as President for the New England Chapter of ISA and is the Website manager, Newsletter Advisor, and is the Trek des Trees Coordinator. She volunteers for the Massachusetts Tree Wardens and Foresters Association serving as Past President.

LeVangie has extensive competitive tree climbing experience. She holds the Women’s Champion Title in New England from 2001-6 and the New York Title from 2002-6, 2008. Her five years of climbing experience at the International Tree Climbing Competition has bettered her climbing ability and learning capability. She has had the privilege of winning the ITCC Spirit of the Competition Award, twice.

She also is a part time instructor with North American Training Solutions, offering on-going education with practical hands-on workshops and seminars.

In her spare time, Melissa enjoys running, cycling, swimming, hiking, and listening to the Red Sox.
