Michael (House) Tain
House is a lead Certified Arboriculture Technician Instructor for North American Training Solutions in the disciplines of Tree Climbing, Work Positioning, and Fall Protection, High Angle Tree Removal, Spar Pole Rigging, and Technical Tree Felling and Cutting. He is also a Certified Arboriculture Technician in the disciplines of Tree Dynamics and Integrated Risk Assessment, Emergency Readiness and High Angle Rescue, and Hazard/Danger Tree Cutting and Felling. Michael is currently located in Lancaster, Kentucky, but travels all over North America in his roles as an instructor, splicer, contract climber, consultant, and writer. He has become an ISA and Massachusetts Arborist Association Certified Arborist and an ISA Certified Tree Worker/Climber Specialist during his eighteen year career in the tree care profession, and is quite passionate about knowledge, learning, and training. Currently a contract climber specializing primarily in removals requiring technical rigging or crane operations, House has worked in a wide variety of positions in both the public and private sector during his career. He also writes regular safety and training columns for Tree Services and Arbor Age magazines, and brings a breadth of knowledge and experiences, coupled with his unique yet professional instructional style, to the North American Training Solutions team.
