About Me
Warren Williams is the tree care operations manager for Downey Trees, Inc. a privately owned company specializing in residential and commercial tree care, plant heath care, arboriculture consultation and greenwaste recycling. Warren is the owner of Genesis training and tree care, which specializes in ornamental pruning, shaping and structural support systems. He is also a founding member of the North American Training Solutions team.

Warren’s journey to arboriculture started with tree climbing as a childhood hobby, from there landscaping while going to school as an art major/photographer; which turned into a horticulture degree and a life long mission to share his passion for trees, climbing, and finding a balance between nature and man. Warren’s current responsibilities focus on training employees in all aspects of tree care: crane operation, tree climbing skills/techniques/equipment, tree pruning & rigging skills/techniques/equipment, cabling & bracing systems and installation, lightning protection systems and installation, chainsaw use & safety, small engine repair, rope splicing, Aerial rescue skills & techniques and First Aid & CPR skills.

As a member of North American Training Solutions I have the opportunity and privilege to share my knowledge and passion; in the grand effort, to help build this industry and elevate the overall professionalism, safety and quality of tree care.

  • 4 years in landscaping and over 15 years experience in the tree care industry, focusing on total tree care operations, employee development, training and management.
    • 1987 – 1989 Decore Builders Inc.
    • 1990 – 1997 Landscape & Tree Care Foreman for Davey Trees
    • 1997 – 2004 Tree Care Supervisor and Crew leader for Arborguard Tree Specialists
    • 2005 – present Tree Care Operations Manager for Downey Trees Inc.

  • TCIA Certified Safety Professional
  • Certified Line Clearance Tree Worker - 1993
