About Me
Glen Wilson works as Arborist for Louisiana State University Agricultural Center at Burden Center and has been at LSU for over 12 years. Burden Center is a 450 acre LSU Ag research station located in the heart of Baton Rouge. Although Glen's main duties are the care of the historical property's trees, he is also involved with the support of a wide range of horticulture, arboriculture and agriculture research. Burden is an awesome site for instruction and Glen uses this great facility to conduct arboriculture skills classes for the LSU College of Agriculture. Burden Center is also a main facility used for the Continuing Education program for Louisiana State Licensed Arborists. Glen has been actively supporting this program for over 12 years. At LSU, Glen has also been arborist instructor for the Louisiana National Guard - Youth Challenge Program and annually participates with Louisiana 4-H Forestry. Glen's interest in aerial rescue sparked an interest in EMS that eventually led him to become an NREMT Certified Paramedic. In addition to instructing part time with NATS, Glen also works as a PRN medic for Acadian Ambulance service in Baton Rouge.

Glen Wilson began his arborist career in 1979 working for the legendary arborist Lawrence Hall at AEP The Care Of Trees in Wheeling, Illinois. Hall's commitment to his employees' training and education left a lasting impression that has inspired Glen throughout his career.
